Upcoming Holidays & School Schedule

Hope everyone has a wonderful winter break with family and friends! Here are a few reminders about the upcoming holidays and school schedule.

 

  • December 22: No School (Teacher Work Day)
  • December 25 - January 5: Winter Break
  • January 8: School Resumes for 2018
  • January 15: No School (Martin Luther King Holiday)
  • January 16: No School (Staff Development Day)
  • January 22: Minimum Day (Conference Day)

Yearbook Cover Contest

We are having a Cover Contest for this year's Greenbrook Elementary School Yearbook!!
 

Please submit a drawing by December 21st! Yes!! BEFORE WINTER BREAK!
 

Rules:

1. Cover must contain the words "Greenbrook Elementary School"

2. Please include an eagle (any size, small or large)

3. Super Hero Theme!!!

4. Drawing should be in color, please write name on BACK and in PENCIL!

DURING WINTER BREAK! 

 

Every Greenbrook student grades K-5 

is invited to participate in the 

Six Flags 2017-18 Read to Succeed 

SIX HOUR READING CLUB 

to earn a free pass to one 

Six Flags Theme Park on select dates 

during the 2018 season! 

 

To participate, a student must read 

6 hours (360 minutes) 

of recreational (not for an assignment or homework) reading by January 31st, 2018. 

 

An information handout and reading log 

will be sent home with your child.

You can also pick one up at the 

Greenbrook Library!

Thursday, February  1st 

  • Take the Journey to Health and get a chance to win prizes!
  • Lots of interactive booths from local businesses and organizations promoting healthy lifestyle choices for the whole family.
  • On stage demonstrations and tutorials of lots of fun ways to stay active

Welcoming student booths (individual and group) this year! Educate your peers about healthy lifestyle choices. Booths can be a presentation board, an activity, or anything you want to show or do!

TK/Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2018-19 School Year

  • January 22, 2018: Online Enrollment opens (parents of current TK students do not need to complete the online enrollment application*).
  • January 23-26, 2018: New TK and kindergarten students with siblings at their resident school site - bring your online enrollment application summary and required documents to your resident school site. Current TK students - bring your required documents* to your resident school site (parents of current TK students do not need to complete the online enrollment application).
  • January 29 - February 16, 2018: All new TK and kindergarten students - bring your online enrollment summary and required documents to your resident school site. Current TK students - bring your required documents* to your resident school site (parents of current TK students do not need to complete the online enrollment application).
  • February 16, 2018Completed enrollment packages must be received and verified by February 16th in order to be included in a lottery should it be necessary at your resident school. Completed enrollment packages are received and verified at your resident school. Enrollment applications received after February 16, 2018 are received on a first come-first serve basis.
