Site Council

Role of the Site Council

  1. Create and maintain a comprehensive school plan that addresses budget, strategies to meet academic standards, and the overall Greenbrook School vision.

  2. Allocate School Improvement Plan funds in a manner that supports the school objectives.

  3.  Periodically examine data which address our SIP goals.

  4.  Monitor and maintain appropriate goals as established in the school plan.

Site Council acts in an advisory role and in conjunction with the Eagle Fund and Greenbrook Elementary PTA. Site Council supports school improvement programs such as: Early intervention specialists for reading and math, Perceptual Motor for Kindergarten Staff Development, ELL, and the GATE program.

Site Council Election Information

Site Council elections are held each spring. Each year two parent volunteer positions (2 year terms) and teacher representative positions will be open for general election. Please watch our regular school communications for election planning or feel free to contact Eileen Garnin

To insure the council works closely with both the EAGLE Fund and the PTA, board members from each attend council meetings. The council meets monthly in the library and while only members may vote, all are welcomed to attend.
